Amauri: Buffon is worth US$100 million
Amauri believes that Gianluigi Buffon is worth every penny of the US$100 million Man City are willing to pay for him.
The Italian custodian has been the subject of a bank-breaking move to Manchester City, but Buffon has brushed aside the news, saying that it's all just rumours.
Juve's new addition Amauri has, however, come out an given his endorsement of his goalkeeper, believing that the Italian international is worth the US$100 million.
"€70m (US$100 million) is a great sum and Gigi is worth every penny," Amauri said. "However, Juventus need him greatly and I think we have to keep hold of him. Buffon is fine in Turin, he doesn't need to move."
The new owners of the Sky Blues, Abu Dhabi United, have fuel much speculation as they have claimed that they are willing to spend heavily to put Man City into contention for the Barclays Premier League title.
La Vecchia Signora paid Parma a princely sum of US$64 million in 2001 and with the Scudetto, Supercoppa and Champions League title within their grasp, it's unlikely that they will be willing to part company with Buffon.
