AC Milan are looking to sign midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Joao Moutinho next season in a bid in a bid to strengthen the team.

AC Milan are attempting to launch an audacious double swoop for Joao Moutinho and Cesc Fabregas next season.

According to sports daily Corriere dello Sport, the club has targeted two big-name midfielders in order to add some shine to the team.

High on their priority is Sporting Lisbon starlet Moutinho, who is contracted to the club until 2013. Should Milan want to acquire his services, they will need fork out US$34million for the Portugal international.

Moutinho’s versatility will add plenty of steel in the Milan defence, as he is comfortable in both as an attacking midfielder or playing just in front of the backline.

Milan are also looking to tempt Fabregas away from the Emirates. The Spain international, who has been linked with moves back to the Primera Liga, is likely to consider his future at the end of this season with the Gunners.
