Kaladze: I’m ready to play

Kakha Kaladze insists he is set to make his Milan return by the end of the month, after struggling with injuries.

The Milan backline have taken a hit with a series of injuries this season, as coach Carlo Ancelotti struggled to make up the numbers in defence. Veteran defender Alessandro Nesta has yet to feature for the Rossoneri because of his back problem.

Philippe Senderos, on the other hand, is slowly recovering from his injury. But Ancelotti has received a boost with Kaladze’s return to action by end October.

“I am much better now, especially compared to my recent shape,” the Georgian international told the official Milan website.

“In a few days I’ll start running again and I think that by the end of October or the very start of November, I will be back in the squad.”

Kaladze injured his knee during a UEFA Cup match in Zurich. But fortunately for Milan, he did not damage the ligament.

“I underwent physiotherapy and don’t want to leave anything to chance over possible relapses. I have been feeling better for at least three days and I no longer sense pain when walking. This leaves me very optimistic,” he added.
