Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho received a dose of good news on Tuesday regarding the fitness of Patrick Vieira.

The midfielder was forced to sit out France's World Cup qualifier at Romania last Saturday after sustaining a muscle injury prior to kick-off.

While he has a a minor problem with his right calf, tests done in Milan confirmed the damage is less serious than initially feared.

The France captain, who missed Euro 2008 with a thigh injury, will miss his national team's friendly with Tunisia on Tuesday but could recover in time for this weekend's Serie A showdown at Roma.
