Aquilani out for three weeks
Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani is expected to be sidelined for the next three weeks after suffering a thigh injury.
The 24-year-old limped out in the second half of the clash at Stamford Bridge and underwent a scan on the injury on Thursday which confirmed the player had suffered muscle damage.
Should the length of the lay off be confirmed, Aquilani would be set to miss the Champions League fixture with Chelsea in the Italian capital on November 4 as well as the Serie A clash with Juventus the following weekend.
A statement on the Roma website, www.asroma.it, on Thursday read: "The player Alberto Aquilani has today undergone a scan which has revealed a grade II muscular injury to the femoral bicep of the left thigh."
The club also announced that forward David Pizarro, who injured his ankle in training prior to the game in London, had not suffered any major damage and may return for this weekend's league match with Udinese.
