Atalanta have tied down their some of their most promising players as rival teams' scouts hover over the club.

The Bergamo-based club has offered key contract extensions to Ferreira Pinto, Claudio Rivalta and Thomas Manfredini.

The first two have signed for the club till 2011.The latter, who is a versatile defender, has been a revelation for the Nerazzurri this term.

Atalanta host Lecce on Sunday but Manfredini is a doubt after tests revealed a slight muscle tear. As a result, he may not be risked against the Giallorossi.

The Bergamaschi have taken massive strides towards salvation by taking 13 points from nine games.
