Crespo still dreams of titles

Argentina striker Hernan Crespo would leave Inter Milan only to play for another big club.

Crespo has made just three Serie A appearances with the Nerazzurri this season and is a reportedly a target for Spanish champions Real Madrid.

Madrid are looking to sign a striker in January to replace injured Ruud van Nistelrooy, who will be sidelined with a knee injury for up to nine months.

"When you are talking about Real Madrid, you cannot deny that they are the story of football," Crespo told Spanish sports newspaper AS.

"It's true that I'm playing less - but these are things you accept when you join a great club.

"For me it was difficult to be left out of the Champions League roster. I could join a smaller club - but I prefer to play less and win titles."

Despite his limited playing time, the former Chelsea frontman has no gripe with coach Jose Mourinho, who left him out of Inter's squad for this season's Champions League.

"Mourinho is a great tactician," said the 33-year-old.

"From outside, one only sees the character. But he is an ordinary person, very calm and knows what he wants.

"He is one of the best coaches I've ever had."
