Both Alexandre Pato and Andrea Pirlo will sit out of AC Milan's Coppa Italia match against Lazio on Wednesday.

After Milan's 3-1 loss to Palermo on Sunday, the Rossoneri are hoping to return to winning ways at Lazio in the Coppa Italia.

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti though, faces an uphill task with both Pato and Pirlo unavailable for selection. Last season, Milan were knocked out of the competition by Catania. Ancelotti will field his strongest side against the Rome-based outfit.

Lazio too, are looking to overcome their defeat against Atalanta.

Pato played only 29 minutes against Palermo before leaving the pitch with a couple of knocks. Pirlo, on the other hand, will not be risked by Ancelotti after making his comeback after a long injury lay-off.
