Motta moves from Roma to Udinese

AS Roma have signed Udinese right-back Marco Motta on loan with the right to buy the player at the end of the season.

After completing the transfer of Souleymane Diamoutene from Lecce during the weekend, Roma have gone on to add more steel to their team with the transfer of the former Italy Under-21 defender.

The deal in question is a six-month loan deal, with the Giallorossi getting Motta in the summer for seven million euros, to be paid in three installments.

With Marco Cassetti set to be sidelined for the forseeable future, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti now has some defenders at his disposal, including both Diamoutene and Motta in his Champions League plans for the rest of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Stefano Okaka is set to be on his way to Triestina before the end of the current transfer window. Defender Christian Panucci is allegedly staying with the club until his deal expires this offseason.
