Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has praised the performance of his striker Adrian Mutu after 3-1 win over Bologna.

The Romanian hitman grabbed a brace for the Viola, which helped them clinch all three points in the match played under heavy snow. After the match, Prandelli waxed lyrical over Mutu's qualities. 

"He is a player that always does the right things, at the crucial times, and so he is always helping out the team.

"This makes him, in my opinion, an extraordinary player," he added.

With Fiorentina lying in fourth place in Serie A, Prandelli is eyeing a place in Europe next season. 

"We still fear the likes of Napoli and Palermo, two sides that are playing really well at the moment.

"Having said this though, but we are ready to fight until the very end, and so we are content with the position we are in at this point in time," he concluded.

Fiorentina will play Lazio this weekend at the Artemio Franchi stadium.
