Lazio warned to keep Di Vaio at bay

Lazio Delio Rossi has reminded his team not to take Bologna and Marco Di Vaio too lightly in their Serie A meeting.

“Di Vaio is devastating in space and his qualities are certainly not up for debate,” said the coach.

The tie takes place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, where they are yet to win in 2009 after two draws and as many defeats.

“We know that at the Olimpico nobody comes here to play an open game, so it will be an added difficulty.

“The crucial thing will be not to step on to the field arrogantly, or we will be punished for it.”

Rossi has further worries with the fact Bologna are coming here with a strong away record and former Lazio star Sinisa Mihajlovic on the bench.

“I have not been at all surprised by Mihajlovic’s performance on the bench. He is an intelligent guy, head-strong and fiery.

“You could always tell he had what it takes to be a Coach, even when he was still a player.”

Mourad Meghni and Simone Del Nero are still undergoing treatment and will not be able to play on Saturday.

Lazio squad: Brocchi, Carrizo, Lichtsteiner, Matuzalem, Rozehnal, Radu, Cribari, Dabo, De Silvestri, Foggia, Kolarov, Ledesma, Muslera, Pandev, Siviglia, Rocchi, Zarate, Manfredini, Mauri.
