Balotelli needs to learn respect
Former Roma coach Carlo Mazzone has slammed Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli, saying he is getting too big-headed.
"He needs to learn respect," blasted Mazzone.
Balotelli has courted controversy after propelling himself into fame last season with his talent and fiery temperament. And Inter's 3-3 draw with Roma on Sunday night was no exception, with Super Mario being slammed by Mazzone for seeming to dive to win a crucial penalty.
"He needs to sort himself out," Mazzone told Channel Four. "He needs to realise that he isn't king of the world."If he were my player, I would have severely reprimanded him. He needs to be told that he has to respect the rules of football.
"Someone has to intervene because it's not the first time that Balotelli has shown this kind of attitude.
"Roma were heavily punished for refereeing errors, even if they did make a few naïve mistakes.
"They played well but sometimes they needed to manage the game a little better," he concluded.
