Kaladze out for season
AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery in Belgium.
Kaladze, who was injured in the UEFA Cup defeat against Werder Bremen last week, will not be able to return to action until the beginning of August, according to the club.."Kakha Kaladze underwent an operation on his right knee this morning," read a statement on the Milan website, www.acmilan.com. "The operation, performed at Anversa by Professor Martens' team was a perfect success.
"His recovery time has been estimated at around five months."
It is a big blow for Carlo Ancelotti, already without Alessandro Nesta and Gennaro Gattuso for the remainder of the season.
Kaladze, 31, could have played his last game for Milan with speculation mounting that the Italians are seeking to offload the Georgia international in the summer.
