Veteran Mauro Camorenesi has defended Claudio Ranieri, dismissing the media for coming up with baseless rumours.

Ranieri's postion at Juventus has been constantly attack by the Italian press, especially after the Bianconeri drew with 2-2 with last-placed Reggina over the weekend.

"We are all behind Ranieri. There is a project in place and we want to work together until the end," the midfielder said in an interview. "Everything else is just news inflated by the press."

Meanwhile, Fabio Cannavaro's return to Juve is nearly complete. The defender's deal with Real Madrid finishes at the end of the season, and if everything goes smoothly as planned, the Italian international will be back in Turin.

"Three years ago, some players left the club because their careers were at stake. Fabio is one of those and for this reason I would welcome his return," noted Camoranesi.
