Mourinho upset by Inter boo boys

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has criticised those supporters who jeered his side during Saturday night's 2-0 win against Lazio.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic unlocked the game in the 58th minute with Sulley Muntari sealing the win 20 minutes from time to put the Nerazzurri 10 points clear at the top of the table with four games remaining.

Inter can now win the Scudetto at Chievo next weekend if AC Milan fail to claim maximum points from their games with Catania on Sunday and Juventus next weekend.

Despite Inter's achievements, certain sections of the Inter faithful were quick to show their displeasure as their team struggled to gain all three points against Lazio, a reaction that Mourinho found hard to understand.

"I have been here for 10 months and give me soul to the club. I like Inter and San Siro, so I would love to celebrate the Scudetto here," said the former Chelsea coach.

"However, there are moments of frustration during the match. The fans want more and for better performances - so do we - but we are doing our best.

"The squad seemed so vast, but with injuries we ended up always playing the same people and they are tired, physically and mentally. This Scudetto is right there and it feels like it's never going to arrive!

"We need the fans and the crowd have to understand that. It didn't seem right to me that they react negatively when a player makes one mistake.

"San Siro is more enthusiastic and participates in the game than they did before, but they should not jeer their own players when they are so close to the Scudetto."
