Francesco Totti believes that Internazionale will be deserved champions after a great season under Jose Mourinho.

Roma's captain, Totti, was full of praise for his rivals in his column for Corriere Dello Sport.

"I think Inter deserve to win the title in the end because they have been the most consistent team in the league," Totti wrote.

"Even though they have had lots of injuries, they have dealt with them well because they have a big squad."

Totti himself is hoping to end the season on a high by scoring as many goals as possible.

"I hope to close this term with a good goal haul, but it was important for me to reach double figures in a season which has been unlucky," added the charismatic captain.

"The result on Sunday was important for us in terms of an eventual qualification for the Europa League."

If results go according to plan, Inter could be crowned league champions this weekend when they entertain Siena at home.
