Inter interested in Brazil star Melo
Reports in Italy are linking Inter Milan with a summer bid for Fiorentina's Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo.
The Nerazzurri have been impressed by Melo's performances for Fiorentina since joining them last summer from Spanish club Almeria, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport the Italian giants are set to challenge Real Madrid for his services.
Fiorentina paid 8million euro's to land the Brazilian international but it is understood he has a clause allowing him to leave if Fiorentina receive a bid in excess of 22.5million euro's.
Inter could sweeten the deal by offering the services of Argentine centre-back Nicolas Burdisso, who was tracked by the Florence team last summer as a potential replacement for the departing Tomas Ujfalusi.
In addition to Madrid, Inter could face competition from English Premier League side Arsenal who are interested in the skillful midfielder who made his international debut for Brazil in a friendly match against Italy last February.
