Mancini hails Cesar contribution

Former Inter manager Roberto Mancini has praised goalkeeper Julio Cesar after the Nerazzurri's title triumph.

Mancini led Inter to the Scudetto last year term but was replaced by Jose Mourinho after failing in Europe.

However he seems to have no hard feelings and was delighted to see Julio Cesar - a player he championed - excel this year.

Interviewed on Mediaset Premium 24 the currently unemployed coach commenetd "I don't know anyone who has done more to earn their place on the pitch.

"Julio Cesar has always worked with such great enthusiasm and professionalism.

"There are three or four goalkeepers in the world that are at the same level, but Julio Cesar is in better shape - he is in top condition.

"The Brazilian has improved with every year and has the silverware to show for it. Congratulations to him and the whole Inter team.

"As for my personal future, I am hoping to return to the bench soon, but there is no news at the moment."
