Kaka would welcome van Basten
Kaka has lent his support to speculation linking Marco van Basten with the managerial position at AC Milan.
The Brazilian playmaker believes Van Basten would be a fantastic successor to current boss Carlo Ancelotti, should the latter decide to move to Chelsea this summer.
"Van Basten? I would be happy to be coached by someone that is part of AC Milan's history," Kaka said.
Milan confirmed they would reveal Ancelotti's future by Monday provided the team beat Roma this weekend to secure a direct spot in next season's Champions League.
Van Basten, a Rossoneri legend who has coached Holland and most recently Ajax, was in Milan this week increasing speculation he could guide the club next season.
Kaka nevertheless hopes Ancelotti will again turn down a move to Chelsea as the 49-year-old did last summer and continue to guide the Rossoneri.
"For me Ancelotti is still the best coach that Milan can have," said Kaka.
"The team feels comfortable with him and he is capable of leading the changing room like no-one else.
"The rumours regarding Ancelotti's future have not created any problems within the team because for some time now there has been talk of his possible departure.
"We are obviously saddened by those rumours but we all, including Ancelotti, are just focusing in Sunday's game and we will wait until Monday when all will be revealed."
