Ferrara hopeful of staying put

Juventus interim coach Ciro Ferrara believes he has a 33% chance of still being at the helm next season.

Ferrara was appointed for the final two games of the season following Claudio Ranieri's sacking, and he immediately steered the team to a 3-0 win at Siena.

A similar result Sunday, on his home debut, would boost his chances of being given the job on a permanent basis.

The likes of Laurent Blanc and Antonio Conte are reportedly also being considered and Ferrara believes they all have an equal chance.

"Me and Antonio have a great relationship," he said. "We have sent a lot of text messages to each other these past few weeks.

"We both have our history and our careers.

"Is it a two-horse race? Up until a few days ago it seemed so but now it looks like there is another name, so my chances have been reduced from 50% to 33%.

"I can't think about the future because I am too focused on tomorrow's match. I am very happy with the opportunity that was given to me.

"I knew the risks which I could have faced but it was absolutely worth it.

"The decision is not up to me and my players but to the club. I am calm and, above all, satisfied with how much we have done this past fortnight. "
