Beckham hoping for understanding
David Beckham is aware of the reception he might receive upon returning to the LA Galaxy and is hoping for some sympathy.
Beckham turned out for AC Milan for the second half of the season, after spending a grace period of two months with the club initially.
In the two months before a controversial extension with the Rossoneri, Becks enjoyed playing with Kaka, Ronaldinho, Andrea Pirlo and Paolo Maldini, so much so that he demanded an extension with the Italian giants, incurring the wrath of the Galaxy faithful.
Banners, posters and T-shirt have been spotted at Galaxy games labeling the England international as a traitor, with loyal fans asking for the sale of the world icon.
"I understand why I extended my stay at Milan, and I hope they do as well," Beckham affirmed in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. "I hope that they will be sympathetic when I return, but you can never be sure."
Beckham will have to work doubly hard to impress his American fans, if there are any left, but may risk further ire should he make another loan move to another European club.
