Cassano wants to stay at Sampdoria

The agent of Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano insists that his client is happy at the club.

Speculation has been rife over Cassano's future, with Juventus and Inter said to be interested in the striker.

Cassano's agent, Giuseppe Bozzo,  claims that he is likely to stay in Genoa with the Blucerchiati, although he refuses to completely rule out a transfer.

"He is happy, speaking about percentages is a difficult exercise," Bozzo explained.

"Antonio is doing very well in Genoa, he likes Sampdoria, [sporting director Giuseppe] Marotta, [president Riccardo] Garrone and is grateful to all of them for his revival. He doesn't intend to move on."

Much of the speculation that Cassano will seek a move stems from the appointment of Luigi Del Neri, who Cassano clashed with many times at Roma,  as the new Sampdoria manager.

"At the moment I see no reason to talk about his departure [as there are no bids], if situations arise than they will be evaluated with the club, but they must improve the current state of things for all involved." Said Bozzo.

Cassano had an excellent season with Sampdoria, scoring 12 goals and creating 11 assists in helping Sampdoria to 13th place in the league, and the Copa Italia final.
