Chelsea misfit Deco could be on his way to Inter Milan after Jose Mourinho expressed an interest in signing his former player.

The Brazilian-born Portuguese player has become surplus to requirements at Chelsea and recently stated that he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge and wanted to leave in the summer.

A move to the Serie A champions would re-unite the 31-year-old playmaker with his former boss, the pair having won the Champions League together with Porto in 2004.

Such a move has become a real possibility following an interview the Inter boss gave to English daily The Sun in which he said "Deco helped me to become European champion and I helped Deco to become the European Footballer of the Year.

"If it will be possible for him to come to Inter and for us to work together again. It would be something wonderful for both of us."

Deco signed for the London based club a year ago, but failed to shine after former boss Luiz Felipe Scolari was sacked in February.
