Lanzafame will return to Palermo
One of Italian football’s bright young prospects, Davide Lanzafame, is set to return to Palermo for next season.
Lanzafame spent last season on loan at Serie B outfit Bari, where he was impressive and helped the side obtain promotion to Serie A.
Lanzafame was spotted by Juventus in 2008, but failed to make an impact and was sold to Palermo in a deal that means he is co-owned by the Sicilians and the Old Lady. But after failing to break into Palermo's starting line-up he was loaned on to Bari, where he finally lived up to his potential.
The 22-year-old has now returned to Palermo, and despite the interest that Juventus have shown in reacquiring his services, the Sicilians will hold on to the youngster next season, according to Stadionews.it.
Lanzafame has also attracted inquiries from Bologna and Lazio after his spell at Bari, but the Italian media has reported that he will return from his loan to Palermo and is not up for sale.
