Juve will not sell De Ceglie
Despite interest from a number of Italian sides, Juventus starlet Paolo De Ceglie seems set to remain in Turin.
The young defender, who is currently representing Italy in the European u-21 championships, has attracted a great deal of interest from Napoli and Udinese, according to the Italian press.
However, the player's agent, Carlo Pallavicino, has confirmed his client is staying put, rubbishing rumours that he will be sold to Udinese as part of a deal for playmaker Gaetano D'Agostino.
"The situation of De Ceglie is this," Pallavicino said to planetazzurro.net, "He will not take into account the opportunities from Napoli or Udinese, not as disrespect to these two great clubs, but simply because he is conscious of his own value and has decided to take his chances with Juventus."
Juve's new coach Ciro Ferrara has also spoken highly of De Ceglie, who featured a few times for Juve at the end of last season, when their squad was depleted by injury. Ferrara is thought to be unwilling to sell the left-sided youngster, who is one of the brightest young prospects for Italian football.
And considering the words of his agent, it seems likely that De Ceglie, too, is interested in remaining with the Old Lady and cementing his place in the side.
