D'Agostino deal breaks down again
Udinese President Giampaolo Pozz is not willing to let Gaetano D'Agostino go unless Juventus match the club's asking price.
This new problem is just one more in a series of issues plaguing D'Agostino's planned move from Udinese to Juventus.
Reports claim that Juve are currently offering £5m less than Udinese's asking price.
"I have the impression Juventus have not perfectly digested D'Agostino's true value," Pozzo told the Italian press.
"The solution does not depend on us. It depends on them. D'Agostino is an important player.
"If Juventus manage to understand it, they will have to resign themselves to paying the right price. Otherwise they won't do it.
"The key is in Juventus' hands. We only know that D'Agostino is a non-removable regular. He is worth more, much more than we have asked for him.
"There is not a defined figure. We have also made ourselves open to a part-ownership arrangement," Pozzo revealed.
Despite the problems plaguing the deal, Pozzo was quick to play down the risk of the deal falling through, although he did confirm that Juve were not the only team interested in the player.
"(If the deal breaks down) we will be in the right, but it seems a bit premature (to talk like that)," said Pozzo.
"The transfer market has only just begun and there are other movements around. [I mean to say] that D'Agostino is a great player and Juventus are not the only ones interested in him.
"Juventus are a great team and the boy has shown himself to be very interested in their jersey.
"I understand it. He has a legitimate ambition. But this desire is not distorted, it's manipulated," he concluded.
