Juventus are eying the signing of unsettled Lazio striker Goran Pandev.

Their move to sign Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi was scuppered by the Spanish side's steep asking price.

Juve will now turn their attention to Pandev, who is within their reach economically and can guarantee them goals.

This decision has been taken irrespective of whether they manage to sell David Trezeguet or not, and therefore they will not be tied down by other factors before trying to sign the player.

On Monday, the Biancocelesti's president, Claudio Lotito, had threatened to nail Pandev down on the bench if he tried to force his way out of the club.

However, it is also true that if Lazio receive an offer equal or close to Pandev's market value, then his transfer to Turin could become a reality.
