Inter Milan have been put off by Chelsea's asking price for both Ricardo Carvalho and Deco.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea have placed a £14 million price tag on the two Portuguese players.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly offered only £5m for Carvalho and £2m for Deco.

Inter may not be forced to look elsewhere and Livorno's Alessandro Diamanti or Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano have both been shortlised.

In defence, Inter are considering a bid for Germany's impressive Under-21 international Jerome Boateng who plays for Hamburg.
