With Chelsea slapping a monster price tag on Deco, Inter are preparing an alternative bid for Belgian Eden Hazard.

18-year-old Hazard was a sensation in Ligue 1 last season, winning the Young Player of the Year award and commanding a fixture in Lille's starting squad.

Inter are lacking creativity in midfield, particularly following the retirement of mercurial winger Luis Figo.

Chelsea's Deco was the first choice for the Nerazzurri, with the Portuguese having played under Inter boss Jose Mourinho at Porto.

The London-based club are not willing to let Deco go for cheap though, despite the player publically stating his unhappiness at the club, and are thought to want significantly more than the £2m Inter have offered.
