Galliani return home empty-handed
AC Milan supremo Adriano Galliani has returned to Italy, having failed in his mission to acquire Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
This is despite the Milan vice-president extending his stay an extra day in an attempt to persuade Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to allow the striker to join the Rossoneri on a season-long loan deal.
According to Sky Sport 24, Galliani was given the privilege to ride on Perez's yacht and tried all means to get Perez to agree on the Huntelaar deal.
However, Los Blancos do not want to showcase their forward for free, albeit with the option of Milan buying him at season's end.
Galliani is rumoured to have an alternate plan up his sleeve, but he will discuss the matter with head coach Leonardo before proceeding with his pitch to Perez.
Other reports indicate that Galliani will try to secure the loan of Huntelaar, and guarantee a €20 million payment that will be paid at the end of the season.
