Napoli have revealed that they are set to bring in new players for the season.

Club President Aurelio De Laurentiis told Sky Sport 24 that the club need attacking options. He also revealed that the club is prepared to persuade striker Ezequiel Lavezzi to stay at Napoli.

"There is a lot to build," explained De Laurentiis who is also a film producer.

"We need a winger and a striker. This is no secret and we are looking to sign them shortly.

"The transfer market is still open for a long time. So far we have done well, Pierpaolo Marino was fast to act but there is still something to do before we start our new adventure."

Regarding Lavezzi, it seems like the problem between the player and the club should be solved on his return from Argentina.

"We will discuss and confront each other. He will understand things and then we will continue together," concluded the President.
