Leonardo sure of Milan role

New AC Milan coach Leonardo has no regrets ever since taking over Carlo Ancelotti at San Siro.

The Brazilian has explained that he is off to a good start as coach, according to channel4.com.

"After a month I am even more convinced about my choice. I needed this period to understand many things," Leonardo explained.

"We have built a group and I have been able to compare myself with lots of people, even outside of football.

"I was very close to Ancelotti during his period as Head Coach and it was a great emotion and a great energy to take his place.

"I have spoken a lot with Paolo Maldini and we have been very close." Leonardo revealed.

Leonardo also explained his choice of the new captain - Massimo Ambrosini.

"I am happy for Massimo because the DNA of Albertini, Maldini, Costacurta and Baresi stays. He symbolises the Milan brand.

"It's my first experience as a trainer and he will be my first captain," Leonardo concluded.
