Pato and Pirlo still on Carlo's list

Pato and Pirlo still on Carlo's list

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has refused to rule out signing Milan's Andrea Pirlo or Alexandre Pato in the future.

According to RAI, the new Blues manager stated that Chelsea have not made any bids to sign Pato or Pirlo but he hinted that they might in future.

"Chelsea have never made an offer for Pirlo and Pato, but that doesn't mean we won't do so in the future," he said.

"It is a strange transfer market, pumped up by Real Madrid's shock buys. It's difficult to sign anyone in this climate, but there is time until August 31."

The two players were pin-pointed as the ones Ancelotti would like to bring with him to the Premier League.

While Pato was declared off the market by Milan, veteran midfielder Pirlo has been slapped with a £15m price tag.

Ancelotti has also compared the media glare between England and Italy.

"The most substantial difference is the pressure around the team and the coach. It has been a very ‘soft' start to the season for me."

The tactician was also drawn on his Serie A nemesis Jose Mourinho, who was a hero at Chelsea some years ago.

"I do not know any ‘Special One,' but I do know Mourinho and I appreciate he is a very talented Coach."
