Donadoni: Napoli can do really well

Napoli will make a mark of their own in Serie A in the new season, so says coach Roberto Donadoni.

He has been encouraged by number of quality players at his disposal.

This will be Donadoni's first full season with the Partenopei after he took over from Edy Reja midway through the previous campaign.

"I don't ever like declaring the objectives, but this team can really do well," declared the former Italian national team coach to ssnapoli.it.

"Director [Pier Paolo] Marino has acted with great speed because he had on his mind a precise program, and the players on which we were aiming, evidently, we believe that they are worthy of being Napoli players."

Inevitably, Donadoni ended up talking about forward Ezequiel Lavezzi who seems to have made peace with president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

"I saw him serene and calm," he continued. "I think that the Pocho is very motivated, but this is not just valid for him, but for everyone too."

Napoli want to make up for last term's disastrous second part of the campaign, which spoilt all the good things shown by the team in the first half, and saw them end in a disappointing 12th place in the standings.
