"Genoa keen on Portanova"
Italian side Genoa look to bolster their backline and are keen on Siena's defender Daniele Portanova.
Portanova's agent, Matteo Materazzi has stated that the 30-year-old has attracted the interest of a couple of clubs, namely his former side Palermo and Genoa.
In an interview with Stadionews.it, he said: "There was some talk a while back that my client would return to Palermo, however that won't be the case for now,
"I'm sure Daniele would be happy to return to Palermo, but again, for now there is nothing, even if Zenga is an admirer."
Materazzi referred to Palermo's current coach Walter Zenga, who has been reported to be a fan of the player.
"As for Genoa, yes they have contacted us, and we are currently assessing our options and the situation."
Daniele Portanova has made 66 appearances and scored four goals for Siena since he joined the club in 2004.
