Two goals for Diego Milito earned victory for Inter Milan over bitter rivals AC Milan in the World Football Challenge.

In a disappointing contest at the Gilette Stadium in Foxborough, Jose Mourinho's men were able to boss the match with Milan struggling to create chances.

Milito struck after just four minutes to put Inter ahead, sliding a left-footed shot past the reach of goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac.

The Argentinian striker then doubled the lead after 75 minutes, steering home a pass from Dejan Stankovic.

Milan could have snatched a goal back as the clock ticked down but Julio Cesar made the save to keep substitute Alessandro Nesta at bay.
