Samp: Cassano going nowhere
Antonio Cassano will be staying at Sampdoria says club president Riccardo Garrone.
Inter Milan are believed to be linked with the controversial player but Garrone is confident his star player will be staying at the club.
"I can comfortably say that Antonio is 100 per cent staying with us," claimed Garrone.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving the Inter roost and Samuel Eto'o coming in, Inter coach Jose Mourinho could target a different type of player.
Meanwhile, the Liguri have just returned to Italy following a disappointing friendly in Rotterdam where they got thrashed 3-0 by Feyenord.
Their transfer campaign is not closed yet as they are trying to secure the services of Franco Semioli from Fiorentina and Nicola Pozzi from Empoli.
Both negotiations could be concluded by the end of next week and definitely before the kick off of the Serie A season, scheduled for Sunday August 23.
