Sacchi not convinced over Juve defence
Italian legend Arrigo Sacchi is critical of Juventus' new-look cental defence consisting of Fabio Cannavaro and Giorgio Chiellini.
The former Milan coach also thinls this partnership will not be good enough for Juve's title challenge.
Juventus have been very ambitious in pre-season, signing four players including Cannavaro who returns to the club after three years with Real Madrid.
"Juventus did well to go for a young trainer like Ciro Ferrara. The transfer market was good for them," Sacchi wrote in his column.
"The only doubt regards the compatibility between the great Cannavaro and Chiellini as both of them have the same qualities.
"Ferrara is making good progress in terms of having an international squad. I hope he does not go back to old methods," Sacchi concluded.
Cannavaro and Chiellini have performed well together so far in pre-season, letting in just one goal in the Peace Cup.
