AC Milan aiming for Huntelaar
AC Milan are set to secure Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for about €15 million from Real Madrid.
On Wednesday, Milan President Silvio Berlusconi told reporters about Andrea Pirlo's future and he also said Milan will be signing “a proven goalscorer.”
Even Pirlo, who declared his intentions to stay at Milan, hinted Milan have signed a new striker.
The media in Italy believes the target is Huntelaar rather than Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
And Corriere dello Sport has reported that the player will officially a sign a three year contract on Thursday.
Milan had long been looking for a striking addition to their squad, having turned their attention to Huntelaar after their failure to sign Fabiano.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Huntelaar will pen a contract until 2013 with the Italian outfit tomorrow and will earn €3,5 million per year at the San Siro.
The 25-year-old, who rejected an €18m move to VfB Stuttgart, signed for Real Madrid in January for €20 million, scoring eight goals in 20 appearances for the club.
