Kakha Kaladze has endorsed the signing of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, along with AC Milan’s decision to retain Andrea Pirlo.

"Along with the confirmation of Pirlo, this [Huntelaar] is the reinforcement we needed," the Georgian said, according to Sportal.it.

"Now we must demonstrate we can include him in our group. He has done well in Holland and at Real Madrid."

The veteran defender insists that the Rossoneri can challenge Inter Milan and Juventus for top honours in the upcoming campaign.

"We have a good team and we can focus on the championship. The gap against Inter and Juventus can only be confirmed when the league starts," he concluded.
