Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has undergone knee surgery and will be sidelined for at least a month, the club have confirmed.

Cambiasso had an operation yesterday in Pavia on a meniscus injury sustained during Friday's Trofeo TIM match against Juventus.

A statement from the club read: "The Nerazzurro midfielder is well and after several days of rest, he will begin rehabilitation."

The Argentina international scored four goals in 35 Serie A appearances to help Inter clinch the scudetto last season.
