Dejan Stankovic has apologised to the Inter Milan fans for their 1-1 against Bari, but believes that his side played well throughout.

Stankovic expressed that Inter were unlucky just to draw and blamed opening day jitters for the result.

"The important thing is to create chances, then sooner or later we will open up and start scoring regularly," commented the former Lazio player to agi.it.

"We were also a bit tense. It was the first game in front of our fans, who were expecting a very good performance. After the goal we saw a nice Inter on the pitch, well placed on the pitch and we held on to the lead until the 74th minute."

"It can happen, but I'm sorry it happened at San Siro, in front of our fans."

Inter will be looking to redeem themselves next weekend as they face local rivals AC Milan in the Milan Derby.
