Inter did not make Cassano bid
Sampdoria have revealed that it was Juventus, and not Inter Milan, that made a bid to sign Antonio Cassano.
Accordingt to Speciale Calcio Mercato, Sampdoria sporting director Giuseppe Marotta said that Inter never actually made an offer for Cassano.
It was reported that Inter coach Jose Mourinho had wanted Cassano to boost his attack.
Marotta, though, revealed that it was Inter's arch-enemy, Juventus, who came forward with a bid to acquire the services of the former Roma and Real Madrid forward.
He then went to say that talks dropped off, and no mention of bringing Cassano to the Old Lady has been made since the start of the summer.
