The Serie A Sunday Review

Brazilian playmaker Diego scored twice as Juventus displayed their title credentials with an impressive 3-1 win at Roma.

Juve's biggest summer acquisition, bought in from Werder Bremen, opened his Serie A account in the 25th minute only for Roma's Daniele de Rossi to equalise 10 minutes later.

Diego put Juve back in front in the 68th minute and another new-boy, Felipe Melo, added a third in injury time as the Turin giants maintained their 100% start after two games to claim a four-way share of top spot.

Sampdoria lead the way on goals scored after a 3-1 defeat of Udinese in Genoa.

Giampaolo Pazzini and Daniele Mannini had Samp in control by half-time. Antonio Di Natale pulled one back for the visitors but in-demand forward Antonio Cassano restored Samp's two-goal advantage with seven minutes to go.

Emiliano Moretti headed in the winner on the stroke of half-time as Genoa won 1-0 at Atalanta to continue their winning start while Lazio came from behind to win 2-1 at Chievo.

Sergio Pellissier opened the scoring for the Flying Donkeys after 16 minutes but summer arrival Julio Cruz levelled from the penalty spot four minutes before the break.

The Argentina striker struck the winner nine minutes into the second half for a Lazio side who preserved the advantage despite the 61st-minute sending-off of Emilson Cribari.

Defending champions Inter Milan are fifth after crushing city rivals AC Milan 4-0 in the derby last night.

Parma have four points from two games after beating Catania 2-1 today.

Daniele Galloppa and Marco Biagianti exchanged goals early on with Alberto Paloschi netting the winner after 47 minutes.

Fiorentina are also unbeaten with Stevan Jovetic's goal enough to see off Palermo.

Napoli and Siena both bounced back from opening weekend defeats with wins today.

The prolific Cristiano Lucarelli scored for Livorno but they were beaten by efforts from Napoli's Fabio Quagliarella (two) and Marek Hamsik.

Siena won 3-1 at Cagliari - Emanuele Calaio scoring twice with Reginaldo adding a late third. Jeda's penalty was Cagliari's sole reply.
