Palermo midfielder Giovanni Tedesco is confident of his side's capabilities under new coach Walter Zenga.

Speaking to Datasport, Tedesco said: "I think this is the most competitive and complete Palermo side I have ever played for.

"I would consider this to be the strongest team in the club's history.

" I am delighted to be a part of this great group of players and I want to live what could be my last season as a player with the utmost intensity."

Tedesco believes Palermo will have a fighting chance to break into the big four in the Serie A.

"We can certainly fight for a top four position this season, and I firmly believe we are worth Champions League football," he said.
