Former Juventus director Luciano Moggi has backed the Turin giants to challenge Internazionale for the Serie A crown.

Juve have been in sizzling form since the start of the Serie A season with newcomers, Diego, Felipe Melo and Fabio Cannavaro seemingly determined to end Inter's domination of recent years.

Add to that, Martin Caceres and Fabio Grosso, Ciro Ferrara has a team of experienced players who have what it takes to help Juve win the title.

Speaking to Tuttojuve.com, Moggi said: "I think Juve's transfer market was very good. The directors there have signed some excellent players, and I am sure they can give Inter plenty of trouble,"

The outspoken Italian went on to throw caution to the wind as he insisted that Inter are still the favourites to land the league title.

"Inter are still the favourites," added Moggi.

"But, Juventus are also there. Those two teams will be the protagonists this season. I don't really see Milan, especially after their derby defeat."
