Ferrara laments missed opportunity

Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara accused his side of naivety after they missed the opportunity to go top of Serie A.

Bologna held Juve to a 1-1 draw in Turin thanks to Rossoblu striker Adailton's late equaliser after David Trezeguet had given the Bianconeri a first-half lead.

The outcome meant Juve missed a chance to go clear at the top, leaving Sampdoria, who beat Inter Milan yesterday, leading the way.

"It's a missed opportunity," said Ferrara. "We have been naive.

"When they equalised we had no-one defending, we have given them too much freedom.

"We tried to attack in order to kill the game and that gave them a chance to hit back."

The result left Juve one point behind league leaders Samp and one clear of third-place Inter.

Ferrara admitted his side had not played well in what was their second consecutive draw following their 2-2 result at Genoa in midweek.

"We need to improve on certain aspects of our game," said Ferrara. "The team must try to distribute the ball better when we hold possession and try to be less frenetic.

"We have to find more balance."

Juve travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich in Wednesday's Champions League before taking on Palermo at La Favorita next weekend.
