Ronald de Boer has claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the sole reason Inter Milan and Juventus were successful in the Serie A.

The former Barcelona has been delighted with Ibrahimovic's contribution to the Primera Liga giant's cause.

"He is a special player," De Boer proclaimed to Sport.

"He is one of the best in the world in his position. Inter and Juventus lifted the Scudetto only with him. He is a very important player and sets up a lot of goals.

"He is much more than a goalscorer, I love him!"

The Dutchman did not stop there, adding that La Blaugrana, in his opinion, are the most exciting team in the world currently, bar none.

"Barcelona are the team that play the best. In the Champions League, we all know that the best doesn't always win, you need luck like for [Andres] Iniesta's goal at Stamford Bridge.

"But if we look just at football, Barca are the best team in the world."
