Land ‘gifted’ to Sensi and Roma
Sergio Scarpellini, the owner of a plot of land which AS Roma plan to build their new stadium, has revealed talks are going on smoothly.
Scarpellini told TeleRadioStereo that his negotiations with Roma president Rosella Sensi are moving on without a hitch.
"I have been contacted directly by the Sensi family who requested the land from me - we have made a standard contract of sale for the land. I almost made it a gift.
"It's an agricultural area, with no constraints on the project that was presented yesterday.
"Helping the Sensis was the right thing because of all that they have given to Rome in the past."
Scarpellini continued, saying that there are ancient Roman ruins close to the piece of land, but the authorities will not prevent neither the construction of the stadium, nor the development of the land surrounding the site.
