Figo: I want Messi at Inter
Portugal legend Luis Figo has revealed that he would love to see Barcelona ace Lionel Messi sign for Inter Milan.
Figo, who finished his career at the Italian giants last season after starring for the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, believes the Argentina international is currently one of the world's greatest players and feels a move to Italy would benefit the diminutive superstar.
"Lionel is the best of all, and this is unquestionable," he told Corriere dello Sport.
"His team play is now stronger than last year. My dream is to see Messi playing for Inter."
One player who has already moved between the two teams is Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The lanky forward moved from Inter to Barcelona as part of a deal that saw Samuel Eto'o going the other way - a move that Figo believes has benefitted Jose Mourinho's side the most.
"Inter no longer depends on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I really like Samuel Eto'o," Figo stated.
"I know Eto'o from when we were at Real Madrid.
"We had three fantastic years with Zlatan, and he gave a lot to Inter.
"But when he was there Inter relied on him and now that is not the case."
